Anthropic announced an expansion of its model access program for vetted cybersecurity professionals, launching the Cyber Verification Program (CVP), organized into three tiers by use case: Defense Access, Red Team Access, and Specialized Access. The latter two progressively relax safety guardrails and provide access to Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Mythos 5.1, and subsequent new models. The company said Project Glasswing identified at least 129,000 confirmed software vulnerabilities between April and July 2026, with an additional 5,500 from open-source scanning, of which over 33,000 were rated critical or high severity, and stated the real impact is likely at least five times that number.
