GPT-6 Astra System Card supplementary document: GPT-6.1 Sol

OpenAI released a supplement to the GPT-6 Astra System Card, introducing GPT-6.1 Sol. Under the Preparedness Framework, OpenAI treats GPT-6.1 Sol as Critical capability in cybersecurity, High capability in biology and chemistry, and below the High threshold in AI self-improvement, so it retains the same protection system as GPT-6 Astra. In biochemistry, its Critical-level evaluation results did not cross the indicative threshold. In biological refusal evaluations, it is comparable to GPT-6 Sol in the severe and dual-use categories, with fewer refusals on benign prompts; these results reflect only the model's own responses, without the full production-environment protections. In cybersecurity safety evaluations, GPT-6.1 Sol outperforms all previous models on production chat evaluations, but shows a slight regression compared to GPT-5.6 Sol in synthetic and semi-synthetic agent environments.
