    OpenAI releases dots proactive assistant

    OpenAI released Dots, an always-on online AI agent, at DevDay 2026 in San Francisco. Powered by the GPT-6 Astra model, it continuously crawls the web, completes assigned tasks, pulls context from connected apps, and gradually learns user preferences.
