   RemoteThreat launches attack and defense drill platform, betting that security teams need to test scenarios after defenses fail

   RemoteThreat comes out of stealth mode with $7 million in pre-seed funding, launching an integrated offensive cybersecurity operations platform that uses AI to help enterprise and government teams test how they perform after their defenses are breached. The platform builds tools from scratch each time, can bypass Tier 1 EDR vendors and security controls, supports fully manual, AI-assisted, or hybrid modes, and allows organizations to use their own AI models. CEO Chris Thompson predicts that as frontier models advance rapidly, the traditional penetration testing model will cease to exist within two years.
