Police affidavit details Prospect Park man’s creation of AI child porn
West Goshen police arrested 41-year-old Prospect Park man Robert J. Mayberry, who was charged with 32 offenses including producing AI-generated child sexual abuse material. According to the police affidavit, his girlfriend called police in June after discovering AI images and videos in a hidden folder on his phone protected by a password; police seized his MacBook, two phones, flash drives and 9 SD cards on June 18, and forensic examination found 76 AI-generated videos and 53 AI images, of which 27 were saved via Grok.com, and one memory card contained another 7 non-AI-generated child pornography images. The complaint states that a photo of a 14-year-old girl taken on June 8 at West Goshen Community Park was completely identical to the girl in an AI video generated on June 10; the iPhone had a covert recording app called Descreet installed, and another 153 voyeuristic videos were found, most of whose subjects appeared to be underage girls.
The case shows that two days after the covertly taken photos, they were used to generate AI sexual abuse videos, and the prompt records retained by the Grok platform became evidence in the prosecution.
