Meta releases new open-weight model Muse Spark Open

Meta released the open-weight model Muse Spark Open, claiming it is the strongest U.S. open-weight model to date and can compete at the same level as similar models from some Chinese developers. The model targets coding and agent tasks, excelling in long-horizon tasks, complex software engineering, and multi-step reasoning, with strong guardrails built in. Meta says it is optimized for the Apple M5 Ultra chip and can run on two Mac Studios.
