Chinese spies targeted Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, according to The New York Times
According to The New York Times, U.S. intelligence agencies believe that an executive close to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang provided intelligence to China. The report said the person is Alice Huang (Huang Le) of Singapore-headquartered data center operator Megaspeed, that U.S. authorities observed in surveillance that she passed information to Beijing, and that she is close to Jensen Huang. The report said Trump was briefed about the matter about a year ago but did not act, that Huang himself was not told, and that U.S. officials at the time believed he was unaware. U.S. officials also suspect Megaspeed of helping China obtain Nvidia chips, and its Malaysian sister company purchased at least $4.8 billion worth of AI hardware containing Nvidia chips between June 2024 and February 2026. An Nvidia spokesperson said meeting customers is part of a CEO's job and that Megaspeed would not receive sensitive information; Megaspeed has announced an internal investigation, and a Chinese embassy spokesperson called the allegations baseless smears and slander.
