Anthropic announced that it will allocate 5% of the company's shares to a public benefit fund, worth about 48 billion dollars based on the 965 billion dollar valuation in May; the funds can be donated to public benefit organizations or paid directly to specific groups of people. The fund is wholly owned by Anthropic, and the shares it holds may not be used for lobbying or political donations; each time the company's valuation rises 50% above the baseline, the board may inject up to another 2% of shares. On the same day, the first 100 young people in the Claude Corps program started work at an annual salary of 85,000 dollars; the program invested 150 million dollars in June this year and plans to recruit 1,000 people in total. The day before, co-founder Jack Clark said at the IMF that the singularity has arrived, and Anthropic projects that US GDP will reach 44.4 trillion dollars by 2030, but labor's share will fall from about 60% to 45.2%.
