Anthropic prospectus sets out plan to use AI to "radically transform every field of human endeavor"
Anthropic’s IPO filing lays out a plan to ‘revolutionize every area of human endeavor’ with AI
Anthropic has submitted an S-1 prospectus to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to list on Nasdaq under the ticker "ANT", aiming to complete its IPO before OpenAI; the company had confidentially filed in June this year. The prospectus shows that in the first half of this year the company had a net loss of $80.7 billion and revenue of $16.3 billion; according to a prior Wall Street Journal report based on leaked documents, most of the loss came from accounting charges arising from notes the company issued to raise financing. On compute commitments, after all planned capacity is delivered, Anthropic will pay SpaceX about $3.1 billion per month for use of Nvidia GPUs, totaling up to $120.5 billion by 2029; it has also committed to spend $44.9 billion with Microsoft by 2033, at least $114.5 billion with Google, and $110 billion with Amazon over the next decade.
