Apple and Meta partner to run Muse AI model on Mac

Apple and Meta announced a partnership allowing developers to download Meta's open-weight model Muse Spark Open and run it locally on Apple's high-end desktop machines. The model is an 816B-parameter MoE architecture that can pair 2 to 4 Mac Studio units for agentic tasks such as coding and video analysis; Meta's head of AI Alexandr Wang said this brings leading agent capabilities to the Apple M5 Ultra Mac Studio desktop for the first time. The required Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra chip and 256GB of memory starts at no less than $10,799.
