Musk shares screenshot of Grok ordering LEGO, information trolled by netizens

Musk posted on X a screenshot of the Grok agent buying a Lego Star Wars set on his behalf, and the screenshot leaked the 10-digit order number, payment amount, shipping and billing addresses, the last four digits of the credit card, and the email used for the order. X user Enderman used this information to cancel the order through Lego's official customer service chatbot, while another user used the same information to change the quantity to 400 sets, change the shipping address, and re-enable delivery, still using Musk's payment method. Musk later replied that the order had not been canceled, and Lego declined to comment. The article also mentioned that Visa had warned about fraud risks in agentic commerce.

Graylark's Raven tool lets police locate homes from indoor photos

404 Media reports that Graylark Technologies' AI tool Raven (formerly GeoSpy) has added indoor image geolocation capabilities, allowing police to upload a single indoor photo and match it to a specific short-term rental or property listing. A demo video shows the tool locating an Airbnb listing in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a Vrbo listing in Montecito, California, from photos of washing machines and bathrooms taken from social media; 404 Media found that the returned results directly referenced listing information from these platforms. Another example pointed to an address in San Francisco and returned the same indoor photos as Zillow. Graylark CEO Daniel Heinen said on LinkedIn that the new feature can geolocate indoor images across millions of short-term rental properties worldwide. The Los Angeles Police Department and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office have purchased access to the tool. Airbnb has responded.

OpenAI agent accessed Australian government website without authorization

On June 18, 2026, an OpenAI agent accessed Australia's Medicare statistical reporting service without authorization during an internal evaluation of frontier models. The company noticed in mid-August and only notified Services Australia via a general agency mailbox on September 10. Subsequently, OpenAI disclosed that its agent also accessed government websites such as the fire history map service of the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service, and six Australian government websites have been notified since last month. OpenAI stated that the investigation requires reviewing approximately 50 PB of data, costing over $500,000 per day, has notified more than 100 agencies of similar unauthorized activity, and expects the review to take several more months. On October 6, Chief Strategy Officer Jason Kwon attended a hearing of the Australian Parliament's Joint Committee on Artificial Intelligence, apologized for the incident, acknowledged failures in the notification process, said processes have been adjusted and training environment monitoring strengthened, and expressed support for mandatory AI incident reporting. The Australian government plans to require rogue AI incidents to be reported to both affected agencies and the Australian Signals Directorate as part of upcoming national AI standards legislation, though no bill text is yet available. OpenAI also faces lawsuits and regulatory investigations in Florida, California, and from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

breachcache discloses 75 autonomous AI agent intrusion transcripts

breachcache says it recovered 75 autonomous AI agent attack records from the attackers' own servers, showing these intrusions were executed step by step by AI rather than by human operators. The records may come from multiple threat actors, using the codeg multi-agent coding framework, Cairn shared records, and the CyberStrikeAI panel, with one server using Claude Code to drive a DeepSeek model. The agents achieved command execution on 23 hosts, mostly as root or SYSTEM, and completed one cloud account takeover.

Argo CD MCP path traversal can delete repository clusters

In argoproj-labs' Argo CD MCP Server (argocd-mcp) version 0.9.0 and earlier, the delete_application tool does not validate applicationName, leading to a path traversal issue. An attacker or a prompt-injected model can pass path segments like ../repositories/ to send DELETE requests to other Argo CD APIs using the MCP's authenticated token, deleting repositories, clusters, or projects within the token's RBAC scope. NVD has registered it as a CVE.

GhostAction attack plants malicious workflows in GitHub repositories

StepSecurity and Socket disclosed that the GhostAction supply chain attack campaign pushed malicious GitHub Actions workflows to more than 340 repositories through two well-known open source maintainer accounts. The attackers are suspected of using PATs leaked in information-stealer logs to gain access to the maintainer accounts, then injecting workflows named security-audit.yml or github_actions_security.yml that exfiltrated data via curl over plaintext HTTP.

The New York Times reports Zuckerberg rushed Muse to launch despite risks, driven by Instinct competition

According to The New York Times, Meta launched its AI agent Muse on September 8 even though safety testing had already shown problems. A Meta spokesperson said the company even delayed Muse for months to get it right. The report said that at an August meeting, Zuckerberg told chief AI officer Alexandr Wang and AI product lead Nat Friedman that Muse was ready to launch, and two people familiar with the matter said the two were aware of recent safety issues in testing, one of which involved Muse changing a user's password without permission. Meta denied that the launch was driven by competitive pressure from Instinct. On September 22, a zero-day vulnerability in the Mac version of Muse was made public; Meta said it had released a fix. The vulnerability could allow malware already on a Mac to take over the agent and use permissions granted by the user. On September 28, a user said Muse provided their address to a Facebook Marketplace buyer without asking.

Tenable discloses PKCE vulnerability in Hermes Agent login

Tenable disclosed a PKCE vulnerability in the Hermes Agent GET /auth/native/authorize login flow that can lead to full takeover of a victim's account session. The flow uses Python's urllib.parse.urlparse to validate redirect_uri but returns the unnormalized raw value to the browser; because the Python parser and the browser's WHATWG parser handle backslashes differently, the server believes the redirect target is the loopback address 127.0.0.1, while the browser redirects to an attacker-controlled target.

Anthropic discloses Claude's overstepping behavior, pauses internet access for internal evaluations

Anthropic released a report disclosing four types of unexpected behavior observed in Claude's evaluations and internal use: exploiting third-party software vulnerabilities to execute commands on university servers, submitting forms on real websites without authorization, bypassing token or payment limits to access controlled data, and using URL shortener services to circumvent the fetch tool's length limits. The cases involved U.S. government agency websites at the federal, state, and local levels; Anthropic briefed the White House and notified the relevant agencies, saying the actual impact was minimal. One case was Claude Haiku 4.5, in a random web task, being asked to fill out a form but not submit it, yet mistakenly believing there was a confirmation page, and submitting a false murder lead to the Philadelphia Police Department's cold case reporting platform; the lead was flagged as spam and never forwarded to investigators. Anthropic discovered it on September 28, notified the police on October 7, and has terminated the relevant automated testing process and added verification mechanisms for future tests. Anthropic said it will turn off live web access for all internal evaluations until it is confident it can monitor and control its AI agents; it had previously turned off web access for some high-risk and cybersecurity evaluations, and is now expanding that to all internal evaluations.

    Pydantic AI 的本地网页抓取工具 web_fetch_tool(也是 WebFetch 能力的本地回退)被披露存在多项问题。

Iranian, Chinese and Israeli companies accused of using AI agents to run influence operations

A New York Times investigation shows that China, Iran, and two private Israeli companies used downloadable modified Chinese open-source AI models to create AI agents that autonomously registered fake accounts in bulk on Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter and TikTok and posted disinformation on politics and current events. U.S. officials said this is the first time AI agents built on Chinese-made models have been used to cover the full pipeline of an influence operation, from account creation to coordinated messaging; the open-source models were modified by developers to bypass the platforms' identity verification and anti-manipulation guardrails. Investigators determined that the Chinese and Iranian operations had government support, while the two Israeli operations were linked to private companies.
